Save the Children’s New York Advocacy Office advocates at the United Nations to protect and promote children’s rights. We engage with UN Member States, UN Security Council Members, UN Secretariat, UN Agencies, and other key stakeholders on humanitarian and development issues. We work on Save the Children’s priority areas of child survival, education, protection, the 2030 Agenda, as well as humanitarian crises.

New tools measure babies’ feet to identify home births needing care in Ethiopia
Developed by Save the Children and Hawassa University College of Medicine & Health Sciences (HUCMHS), the easy-to-use screening tools are colour-coded and include a laminated card and a plastic tool with a 90-degree “heel holder” to guide where to place a baby’s heel for the measurement.
