SUMMARY

Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE
Under the management and supervision of Project Coordinator (Malaria), he/she will be responsible to facilitate the effective and successful planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of malaria project activities through closely monitoring and supervision to the volunteers and partners with the support of Project Coordinator.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Program ManagementTogether with the Project Coordinator, responsible for activity planning, implementation and review to ensure the achievements of malaria project outputs are in accordance with project’s objectives, approved budgets and logical framework in Kayah State.• Assist Project Coordinator in planning and preparing work plan and field activities of malaria elimination project. • Conduct data collection, checking and verification for volunteer activities, and submit reports to the supervisor as monthly basis. • Work closely with supervisor to facilitate capacity building trainings and workshops for malaria volunteers, partners and other variety of stakeholders.• Assist supervisor in budget estimation and cash forecasting for assigned project activities.• Assist in procurement of materials, supplies and maintenance of project equipment and repair as necessary. • Assist in transportation of stock and malaria related commodities.• Participate in project surveys and need assessments as required. • Initiate for identification and mapping of Mobile Migrant Ethnic and Vulnerable populations (MMEVs) of assigned townships in regular interval and submit the updated MMEV information to line manager.• Support local partner organization’s Malaria Project activities by giving technical support and participating in partner’s field level activities such as trainings, volunteer supervisions etc.• Monitor partners’ malaria project activities and outputs to reach desired objectives and results.• Keep records of activities, and report regularly and as requested on program progress. • Actively support the organization’s efforts towards accountability to beneficiaries, through child participation and complaints & response mechanisms. • Take steps to ensure that the program benefits the poorest and most disadvantaged community especially MMEVs. • The candidate must have the flexibility of responsibility according to the project’s need i.e. SCI is working in a constantly changing humanitarian and development aid environment, reasonable specific work duties may be requested that may not fit into the above responsibilities, but which will help promote over all programs goals and aims. • Assist and support to malaria elimination officer for the case notification and case investigation, foci investigation and so on. Others • Organize the various project intervention campaigns such as distribution of LLINs, Active Case Detection and Mass Malaria Screening with participation of ICMVs and community.• The candidate must have the flexibility of responsibility according to the project’s need i.e. SCI is working in a constantly changing humanitarian and development aid environment, reasonable specific work duties may be requested that may not fit into the above responsibilities, but which will help promote over all programs goals and aims. Assist and participate in any necessary tasks related with program or operational sides assigned by line managers.

• Any graduates • Minimum 1 years working experience in health-related programs or/and in public health programs preferably Malaria programs. • Professional working experience with international organizations preferable. • Good communication skills and/ or social mobilization skills.• Willingness to travel and night-stop at field project villages, and work in difficult and challenging working environment with limited support.• Experience and knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel.• Sensitivity to the cultural & political environment, with the experience of working in conflict affected areas.• Experience of working in a team/ willing to work with team.• Adaptable and practical, diplomatic skills and behaviors.• Due to the nature of program, local candidates who know the context of project locations and can speak local language are preferable.• Well-known local context and can speak local language well• Can drive well on motorbikes. • Willing to travel very remote area.• Excellent personal organizational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure• Willingness to travel to field offices and work in difficult environment according to travel requirements.
