Child Rights Governance

We work with and for children, through Children Parliaments, Civil Society Organizations, community structures, partners and other stakeholders to influence duty bearers to put in place laws, policies and strategies that impact children to survive, learn and be protected. Save the Children does sensitization, awareness raising, mobilization and community engagement, to amplify the voices of children around issues that affect them, including but not limited to inequalities, early, child and forced marriage, climate change, malnutrition, displacement, trafficking, gender-based violence, unsafe schools, child labour, and lack of access to basic social services.

We promote the adoption and implementation of social protection policies and advocate for an increased and sustainable public investment in children, among others. One of our major areas of work is leading the advocacy towards the full implementation of the Child Protection Law at the State level and the Child Rights Act at the national level, among others. We also have a global campaign called Generation Hope, which mobilises duty-bearers and right-holders to build a greener, fairer and livable planet for children.
