Responding to Emergencies

We respond swiftly to frequent emergency situations caused by recurring droughts, floods, and conflicts that severely impact vulnerable communities across Somalia. Children are often the most vulnerable during these emergencies, facing disruptions to their education, access to basic healthcare, and protection from harm. Our response focuses not only on immediate relief but also on building long-term community resilience through anticipatory action and preparedness strategies.

We work closely with local and international organizations, community members, and government institutions to strengthen coordination, improve early warning systems, and ensure that communities are better equipped to face future shocks. Through these efforts, we aim to reduce the risks of emergencies, minimize their impact, and empower communities to recover and adapt more effectively while prioritizing the needs and well-being of children.
