CHILDREN AT THE CENTER
We work alongside civil society organizations, governments, the private sector, multilateral organizations, and children in the co-creation of programs, policies, and strategic decisions that are sensitive to gender, race, and environmental issues.
We facilitate connections, synergies, and cooperation among diverse actors through advocacy, resource mobilization, capacity building, and the participation of children and adolescents in decision-making and advocacy spaces at all levels, enabling them to become protagonists of political change.
Em resposta às enchentes que deslocaram mais de 2 milhões de pessoas no Rio Grande do Sul, a Save the Children no Brasil organizou uma resposta humanitária implementada pela organização parceira Proame Cedeca no município de São Leopoldo, onde 75% da população foi afetada. O projeto inclui a distribuição de kits de higiene, kits de dignidade menstrual e materiais escolares, além do estabelecimento de Espaços Seguros onde crianças e adolescentes recebem apoio à saúde mental e cuidados socioemocionais. Three adolescents from Brazil represented over 50,000 children from 60 countries at the G20 Summit in Brazil, marking a historic milestone for children’s participation in global governance. The teenagers delivered a child-led letter to G20 leaders outlining recommendations on reform of global governance, hunger and poverty, climate action, and just economies. The letter results from a global consultation with children and adolescents led by Save the Children and Plan International Brazil in partnership with Joining Forces, Movimiento Mundial por la Infancia (MMI-LAC), and Children in G20.
