Save the Children expands programming for vulnerable children with new Country Office in Brazil
Save the Children is opening a new Country Office in Brazil to place children’s rights at the forefront of the national agenda.
In response to the severe floods that displaced over 2 million people in southern Brazil, the Brazil Country Office has organized a humanitarian response led by the partner organization Proame Cedeca in the municipality of São Leopoldo, where 75% of the population was affected. This project includes the distribution of hygiene kits, menstrual dignity kits, and school supplies, as well as the establishment of Safe Spaces that provide health support and socioemotional care for children and adolescents impacted by the emergency.
