Save the Children in El Salvador
With 45 years in El Salvador, we have a strong presence in the communities where we work, implementing programas that ensure the voices of girls, boys and adolescentes in the demand and exercise of their rights.
Our Strategic Goals 2025-2027
Girls, boys, and adolescents promote the strengthening of protection and justice systems that ensure the fulfillment and restoration of their rights and their active participation in decision-making.
Girls, boys, and adolescents live in safe and protective environments, free from violence, and have access to protection and health services tailored to their needs.
Girls, boys, and adolescents, especially those affected by human mobility or with special learning and protection needs, will have continuous education and services adapted to their circumstances to prevent school dropout.
Girls, boys, adolescents, families, and communities will be resilient to emergencies caused by nature, human factors, and climate change.
What we do
Save the Children El Salvador implements programs and projects in child protection, education, health, poverty relief, and child rights governance, in partnership with international donors and organizations. These programs aim for an impact at the community, municipal, departmental, national, and global levels.
Save the Children’s programs strengthen child and adolescent protection systems, promote appropriate child care, prevent irregular migration, contribute to the reintegration of returned populations, generate livelihoods to alleviate poverty, and promote the leadership and participation of girls and boys in advocating for and ensuring their rights, as well as in the design and implementation of public policies that benefit them.
